I love this colorful stoneware pottery from Karin Lorenc. The pieces are handmade on a kick wheel and are food, microwave, and dishwasher-safe. Perfect to put on the table for spring!
A few pictures here from Craftcation, a creative makers/small business conference in Ventura. The weekend was such a great balance of information and hands-on activities- one hour I was taking notes on advanced WordPress features and the next I was rolling candles! The location is sandwiched between the beach and downtown, which makes it central to restaurants, shopping and their offsite sessions (ex. rustic Italian cooking at the fairgrounds…yum).

Here’s a tutorial for a handmade card that features one of my favorite tropical flowers- plumerias! The flower’s pretty shape and soft pastels definitely remind me of spring.
I really enjoyed making this card because it uses a range of basic techniques, from origami to watercolor lettering. And for those of you who tend to run out of space when writing cards (me!), a simple stitched binding allows you to include as many pages as you want…

I’m such a fan of these linen pieces- especially that amazing drum pendant lamp! Linen is a great material for coastal-inspired interiors. Plus it’s durability makes it ideal for home accessories like pillows. It’s also one of my favorite fabrics to craft with because it dyes really well and can be fairly inexpensive.
